During the Spanish time, this small but prosperous barangay had its humble beginning long before the world war II was started. There were plenty of fishes and sea shells long time ago. Many people were going here just to catch fish and other aquatic resources. From then on, this place, played a significant role in the lives of the people living in and near the community. It serves as the main source of income and sea foods.
The dialect of the first inhabitant. Is Ilocano. The place got its name from one sentence “Adu iti sida sunga intayo agkammel, tapno adda iti mabalaok tayo”.
